Anti-vibration construction

The unit is light in weight (1.2 oz (34 g)) and super-compact in size (2 in (48.5 mm)). This provides flexibility and mobility when youre shootingso much so that theres no need to detach and reattach it between shoots. The back of the microphone wont touch your forehead when youre looking through the viewfinder, and setup is easy even with gimbals and grips.

Battery-free convenience

When you attach the ECM-G1 to the MI Shoe of any of Sonys compatible cameras, power is supplied directly from the camera to the microphone. This lets you handle extended shooting sessions free of concerns about the microphone battery running out.

Connect to your laptop or other device

A microphone out jack is provided on the side of the microphone. This can be used with cameras, PCs, IC recorders and other compatible devices that have plug-in power but do not have an MI Shoe. A recording cable is included.
